Bursaries

This year the Loyalist Student Government will distribute $159,500 in Student Bursaries.

All of these bursaries are presented at the Awards Ceremony in the fall. For further information, email the Awards Office.

 

Loyalist Student Government Needs-Based Bursary

  • Amount: $500

  • Number of bursaries: 310

  • Criteria: Available to all students in any program at the Belleville campus who demonstrate a financial need.

Apply for the Loyalist Student Government Needs-Based Bursary:

  • First year students beginning their studies in September 2021: Complete and return this application form to the Awards Office by June 25. Contact information can be found at the bottom of the application.

  • Returning students: Apply online at myLoyalist.com starting August 23. Deadline is September 17 at 12 pm.

Loyalist Student Government Bursary

  • Amount: $500

  • Number of bursaries: 3

  • Criteria: Available to all students in any program at the Belleville campus who demonstrate a financial need.

Loyalist Student Government Excellence Bursary

  • Amount: $1,000

  • Number of bursaries: 1

  • Criteria: Available to returning students registered in any program at the Belleville campus who demonstrate financial need and have a minimum 90% average.

Charles Benson Bursary

  • Amount: $1,000

  • Number of bursaries: 1

  • Criteria: Available to returning students at the Belleville campus who demonstrate a financial need and have a minimum 75% average. Must show involvement in student life, Loyalist College and the community. The students must provide a resume outlining their activities.

David Landry Bursary

  • Amount: $500

  • Number of bursaries: 2

  • Criteria: Available to one returning and one graduating full time student in the Paramedic program at the Belleville campus.
